The job of the group is to steer the process of forming a Tenants’ or Tenants’ & Residents’ Association.

Draw up a constitution
- a set of guidelines for the group which are agreed with members and Riversmead Housing Association
* Help to decide aims and objectives

  • Meet regularly
  • Decide on important issues, e.g. Estate matters, Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
  • Help form committees e.g. Young Person’s Committee
    Possibly organise Social events

Invite people to join the Association

Once the association has been set up, the Steering Group stands down.

A new Committee and Officers are elected and you have an officially constituted group
