What we do
Riversmead is a Registered
Social Landlord with charitable status. We are a not for profit organisation
originally set up in 1995 as part of the Network
Housing Group to provide a comprehensive housing management service
for East Herts District Council.
Following the successful ballot of tenants, the ownership of some 3230
properties was transferred to Riversmead from the Council in March 2002
under a process known as ‘Large Scale Voluntary
Transfer’ (L.S.V.T.).
Through continual planned growth and development we now own and manage
over 4,300 homes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
 The
main activity of Riversmead is the management of good quality affordable
housing for rent.
We
are a provider of comprehensive housing management services including
rent collection, arrears control, estate management, allocations, sheltered
housing, maintenance services and major building works.
We
work in partnership with local authorities and the Network Housing Group
to provide additional affordable homes for local people.
The majority of our homes are those formerly owned by East Hertfordshire
District Council whilst the remainder are owned by Network Housing Group
members and managed on their behalf.

Over the medium to long term we will be looking at ways of providing new
and innovative products either as landlords and stakeholders in the local
community or under existing contractual commitments to deliver added value
and continuous improvement.
