PrintBoard of Management
Our Board of Management has the responsibility for the direction, policy and performance of the Association. The role of the Board combines a Companies Act Board of Directors with that of the trustees of a registered charity. The Board meets quarterly and acts in a voluntary capacity, with members receiving no payment for the work they do.
Committees
To support the work of the Board and enable it to meet its responsibilities we have two operational committees which allow members to have a greater input into policy and decision shaping, as well as the opportunity to scrutinise functional activity more closely.
Each committee has its own terms of reference, e.g. why they have been set and what they aim to do, and delegated authority.
The Customer Services Committee, meets to discuss the way in which we provide services to our customers, by monitoring our performance and reviewing and approving policies which have an effect on customer service.
The majority of the members who sit on this committee are tenants and the group is also chaired by a tenant member.
The Business Services Committee are responsible for monitoring our finances, risk management and the relationship with our regulator, the Tenant Services Authority.
The Chief Executive is responsible to the Board of Management and also reports regularly to the Chief Executive and Board of the Network Housing Group on performance, strategic business management and policy issues. The Chief Executive is also the Deputy Chief Executive of Network Housing Group, with responsibility for human resources, policy and performance and public relations
Riversmead is divided into three operating divisions:
- Corporate Services
- Housing Services
- Property Services
Day-to-day responsibility for the Association’s operations rests with the Chief Executive and the three service heads, who together make up our Strategic Management Team.
