You can report abandoned vehicles using our online form or by contacting us.

Where we are responsible for the road or parking area we will leave a notice on the vehicle.  If the vehicle is not removed, we have to identify a registered owner and attempt to contact them to confirm whether it has been abandoned.  Abandoned vehicles are then reported to the Council for removal.  If we can trace the owner we will charge the cost of this to them.

Where the road is a public highway, the council is responsible for removing abandoned vehicles and it is best to report direct to them.  Go to East Herts Council’s website for more information.
