Riversmead’s new open surgeries make it easier for residents to have their say

Riversmead is trying a new way of carrying out its annual neighbourhood inspections to make it easier for residents to have their say.

Three open surgeries will take place throughout the year, where residents can drop-in one hour before an inspection and talk to their Neighbourhood Team and advisors from the East Herts Citizens Advice Service about tenancy matters, benefit queries or neighbourhood issues.

The first open surgery will take place at older persons’ housing scheme Folly View, Stanstead Abbotts, SG12 8AY on Thursday 22nd March, between 10-11am, before the inspection of St Margaret’s estate.

Jackie Trundell, Neighbourhood Services Manager said: “We are always looking to improve our services by listening to residents’ views and hope our new open surgeries will make it even easier for residents to give us their feedback. We hope to see as many of you as possible at any of our three open surgeries.”

Gwinneth Tedds, Project Services Manager, East Herts Citizens Advice Service said: “We are pleased to be attending Riversmead’s neighbourhood surgeries to promote the service we offer specifically to Riversmead tenants. Sharon will be on hand to explain how, when and where she can help you – all advice given by East Herts Citizens Advice Service is free, impartial, independent and confidential.”

The remaining two surgeries will take place on 25th April at Gosselin House, Barleycroft in Bengeo and 8th August at The Dell, off Cecil Road in Hertford – please visit our neighbourhood inspection page for further details and a full list of the neighbourhood inspection programme.
