                                             Older residents of East Herts can now benefit from a range of services delivered by WRVS volunteers.

Community Car Scheme

This service provides door-to-door travel to hospitals, doctors or clinics. There is a £5.00 flat fare for travel of 1-10 miles and 55p per mile for travel 11-110 miles.

Gardening Scheme

WRVS can provide a friendly gardening service using their own tools if you are elderly or disabled and need help with your garden. For more information about cost and availability in your area please call WRVS on 01992 552 069.

Good Neighbours

WRVS volunteers can provide support and assistance to people who are housebound because of illness, age or disability or because they are caring for someone. This includes providing companionship, form filling and letter writing, transport for appointments, shopping or social activities and gardening.
